Pretty Perfect took part in a brilliant collaborative photo shoot in June 2012;
“Welcome to the weird but wonderful world of weddings! The team behind this shoot have one thing in common: they just LOVE their jobs, which is reflected in the beauty and quality of their work.
But how would you ever know all these lovely people exist if we didn’t showcase our products? This is where we are extra-lucky because we get to spend an afternoon playing with pretty things, all in the name of updating our portfolios. Such a win-win!
All it took was scouting out the perfect location, picking the date, loading up the vans and we were ready to go.
May we present the ingredients for this shoot: one haunted ruin, more daisies than we could count, one seriously spooky tree, a sunbathing snake (not part of the plan), two rock-climbing models and a weather-god who smiled benignly upon us.”
Credit where credit is due…
Carole Markham Mullett of Pretty Perfect – who brought everyone together for our ‘play day’, is the genius behind the heavenly accessories and made our models look even more beautiful with the perfect make-up.
Kate Hopewell-Smith – the genius behind the lens (and so many of them), who is not only the taker of the most beautifully composed shots but also has just the right knack of making everyone feel comfortable in front of the lens.
Rebecca Marsala of Gingerlily – who astounded us once again by producing the most gorgeously lush flower arrangements and, together with Carole, creating the wonderfully insane headpiece.
Ann Beggs of Ann’s Bridal Room – who raided her beautiful boutique and brought out the most stunning frocks, and then didn’t bat an eyelid when we used them in ways wedding dresses aren’t usually meant to endure.
Natalie McGovern – who, armed with plenty of hairspray, created the fabulously different looks and styles.
Amy Knight & Anna-Lisbeth Shackcloth – our models, who weren’t ‘just’ tall, beautiful and patient but also proved that they’re real model material when we put them on the spot with a little rock-climbing.
Anna MacDougall of bride&glory – wedding planning Go-to Girl who, for lack of an actual product, was in charge of taking behind the scenes snaps, holding Kate’s many lenses, keeping everyone in coiiiffeeee and writing up the story of the day.
